The unique aspect of the City Wide business model is that through no effort of the Franchisee does he or his small, professional staff actually perform services for his clients. Rather the Franchisee “outsources” the labor to small Independent Contractors (ICs) who’re already skilled at these trades and already in business to be janitors, carpet cleaners, window washers, etc.
Just as the City Wide Franchisee is “outsourcing” labor to ICs, the ICs are “outsourcing” what they don’t want or can’t afford in their business model to City Wide – professional Sales Team, professional Customer Service, Accounting Department. Together City Wide and the ICs partner to deliver services to City Wide clients.
By offering multiple services City Wide differentiates itself as the “Total Solution,” creating many opportunities to open new accounts and generate revenue. The City Wide value proposition is “We save our clients time.”
City Wide currently operates in 23 markets coast-to-coast and is registered or in the process of registering in all states except Hawaii, North Dakota and South Dakota. All City Wide territories are major metropolitan markets.
Preferred Profile
Professional with strong understanding of Sales and Sales Management. Ideally has no less than 10 years of B-2-B expertise and no less than 15 years to retirement. Mid level Manager or above with a history of success. May have owned a service business in the past. Absentee ownership is not allowed. No industry experience required.
Investment Parameters
Because of the large territories, City Wide uses a sliding scale based on population to determine the price of the Franchise Fee:
- Territory less than 1,000,000 population = $60,000 Franchise Fee
- Territory between 1-2 million population = $75,000 Franchise Fee
- Territory between 2-3 million population = $100,000 Franchise Fee
- Territory of 3,000,000+ population = $125,000 Franchise Fee
Franchise Fee includes initial 6 months of marketing materials and training expenses for franchise owner and sales team.
Total Initial Investment includes Franchise Fee, technology package/licenses and office set-up expenses such as rent.
Additional working capital requirements for first 18 months range from $100,000 to $150,000 (includes mostly labor costs for your sales team and monthly overhead costs).
