are typically located in strip shopping centers in approximately 1800 sq. ft. A
few of our franchisees own their own building. We want our stores to have good access
and visibility. We give our franchisees a great deal of assistance in the site selection
and lease negotiation process. Stores are supported with protected territories which
possess over 4000 businesses in the market area.
Franchise Training and Support
Our training is the most extensive in the industry. Basic training is 2.5 weeks
in our headquarters in Maryland. This covers all aspects of running the business
including computer operations, fabrication, admin, HR, legal issues, sales, marketing,
customer service and growth management. Shortly after a store opens there is another
training period in which one of our business development managers spends another
2 weeks with the franchisee in the store. This is a period of opening, ramp-up,
initial marketing, community relations and business development. We also make periodic
visits to the stores throughout the year. We hold regional meetings in the fall
of every year and a national meeting in February of every year.
