SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune-Up is a certified automotive service center, providing
a full range of preventive and corrective maintenance services including: 17-point
oil changes, fluid services, tune-ups, engine maintenance, air conditioning services,
complete brake service, state inspections, and emissions and smog inspections. ***Total
Investment (continued from above): Assumes leasing land and building. This investment
is exclusive of land, site work and building cost, or leasehold improvements. If
not leasing add $550,000 to $1,100,000 to the investment total. SpeeDee provides
one-stop shopping for our customers' complete preventive automotive maintenance
needs. No appointment necessary; while-you-wait services. We validate all manufacturers'
warranties and track cumulative repairs performed on customers' vehicles. SpeeDee
is a total car care center.Stand-alone units, usually located near destination traffic
centers (i.e., major malls located within close proximity (1 to 3 miles) of middle
to upper-middle income residential neighborhoods. Daily traffic counts of 15,000+
privately-owned vehicles. Good ingress/egress, with traffic flowing not over 50
miles per hour, with center turn or directional lights.
Franchise Training and Support
Three weeks - one week of classroom training and two weeks of instore training for
new Franchisees. At SpeeDee, training is an ongoing process and includes mandatory
quarterly Franchisee meetings. Specialized training in regions for innovative, new
service concepts.All franchise candidates must visit Corporate Headquarters and
meet personally with Officers and Directors prior to franchising.We want Franchisees
who are actively involved in the day-to-day operation, or the involvement of a operations
manager that has a 10% equity interest.The traits we look for most in a Franchisee
are the ability to follow a proven system, great people skills, and excellent management
skills.
